"We do not support construction of new nuclear reactors as a means of addressing the climate crisis. Available renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies are faster, cheaper, safer and cleaner strategies for reducing greenhouse emissions than nuclear power."

Cara Jennings Victory Propels Progressive Shift in Lake Worth Commission

Earning 56% of the vote through an outstanding, organized grassroots effort involving Palm Beach Greens along with other citizens and activists, Florida Green Cara Jennings won re-election in the non-partisan race for Commissioner in Lake Worth on November 18th.

This time it was a clear victory for Cara. She won her seat the first time in a runoff.

With her seat secured, Cara and her supporters immediately sought support for Suzanne Mulvehill who was competing in a runoff race for the remaining seat on the Commission.

Defeat for "Ol' Boys Network." Mulvehill's subsequent 59% victory over bank manager Dave Vespa now gives a 3:2 edge for progressives in Lake Worth.
